Ginger is one of the few people lucky enough to be raised and spend most of her life in the tropical paradise known as Marathon in the Florida Keys.  After graduating from the University of the Americas in Mexico City with a degree in International Relations, Ginger returned to her home town of Marathon to pursue a career in real estate.  It didn't take long for Ginger and her mother Marylin to decide that this would be the family business; they co-founded their first real estate brokerage firm in 1982.

Bill Paulson has joined the team at American Caribbean Real Estate in Marathon.  Bill is a resident of Key Colony Beach and has invested in real estate in the Middle Keys for many years.  His knowledge and love of the area, as well as, his dedication to real estate gives Bill an enthusiasm that is contagious.

Bill is a licensed real estate broker in Michigan and Florida.  Owning Paulson Real Estate in Michigan, as well as, working at American Caribbean provides a broader customer base for both buyers and sellers.  With over 30 years of real estate experience, Bill has expertise in all markets with unique selling tools including seller financing, 1031 tax deferred exchanges and creative sales.

Karen Cooper, also known as "Coop" to her good friends, has been involved in some facet of the real estate industry all her life.  She learned a great deal from her father, a well known builder of fine homes in Indianapolis.  Karen attended Indiana University (IUPUI) and Edison College in Ft. Meyers, Florida studying computer science. 

Karen has lived in the Keys for over 15 years.  Her multifaceted background includes working in the hospitality industry, management and computer sales.  When she obtained her Realtor license in 2002 she quickly became a multi-million dollar producer, competing with seasoned veterans.

Karen's friendly, honest and down to earth approach to her profession draws clients to her from all parts of the country.  She works tirelessly to help her buyers and sellers achieve their real estate goals, never leaving a stone unturned in search of just the right solution for them.

Outside of real estate, Karen enjoys, sailing, snorkeling fishing, culinary arts and fine wines.  She has lived in New Orleans, Venice & Ft. Meyers Florida.  Karen is also involved in giving back to this community by helping with scholarship fund raisers for the Business and Professional Womens Club of Marathon.

Kristen graduated from Marathon High School in 1983 and then got her BA degree at Washington State University for Interior Design in 1987. During that time her mother and father Wayne and Elaine Brenner both well known Realtors of Duck Key who established Brenner Realty in 1977, insisted that she study for her Real Estate License on Spring break in 1984 and that summer she got her Real Estate license.
Upon graduation Kristen came back to Marathon with her BA in hand to work for Richard Renard, Architects with dreams of going to the big city of Miami to a larger architecture firm. Two years later she took over Brenner the real estate company and her parents were retired.

Kristen changed the name to Duck Key Realty in 1999.

Kristen was married in 1998 to Eric Kreizman and they have a son Elliott who was born in 2000.
Kristen has been top producing agent in the Middle Keys ranking as one of the top 5 agents in the Marathon area for the last 10 years. No single agent has sold more real estate on Duck Key than Kristen.

After the financial melt down of 2008, Kristen has been a part of the American Home Mortgage Servicing team of Monroe County handling bank REO's from Key Largo to Key West as well as the sales of properties in Duck Key.

October of 2009 Duck Key Realty has merged with American Caribbean to be their Duck Key Division.
Currently Kristen is the Number One agent in the Middle Keys market (7 Mile Bridge to Long Key) for the year 2009 and the Number 2 agent Keys wide.

After graduating from college in Maryland Karen began work in advertising as a media buyer then went on to be a REALTOR© and sales manager for Pulte homes. In the early 90’s after working with Industrial Shows of America she and her husband Joey started their own business Marathon Productions, which produced several boat shows and other trade events in Maryland and Virginia areas until the early 2000’s. Karen purchased her home in the Key Colony Beach in 2001 and moved here full time in 2009. Lynn recently joined our team here at ACRE in February 2011. Lynn is a very successful realtor with over 14 years of experience in Florida Keys real estate market and has a long history of success in real estate sales. Previously, Lynn worked with Exit Realty Florida Keys and was their Top Salesperson for 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.

John became a licensed Real Estate Broker in New York in 1982 and started a real estate brokerage firm in Babylon, New York handling residential and commercial sales, rentals, as well as property management. Additionally, John became a registered Mortgage Broker offering mortgage loans on behalf of Chase, Citibank, Wells Fargo just to name a few. Prior to his real estate career John worked for a Dutch multinational company as a Ship Broker buying, selling and chartering tankers and dry cargo vessels worldwide. Eventually, John started his own company in this field representing companies such as Owen Corning Fiberglas, Union Carbide and Armco Steel to name a few as well as many South American oil companies such as CVP, Petroperu, Ecopetrol, Enap and others.


In December 1979 feeling stressed and cold in the New York winter, John and his wife, Jo Ann, headed south for an escape and ended up in the Keys for the first time. They immediately fell in love with the area purchased a condo in Key Colony Beach. What began as a get-away or refuge would eventually become a permanent home in 2006. John enjoys his time in the keys; out on the water, enjoying friends and neighbors and spending time with his daughters and grandchildren on their frequent visits.

Jody Owen joined the team at American Caribbean in 2009 as the Marketing Director and currently operates in a managerial capacity while still overseeing all the marketing efforts for the firm and as a licensed Sales Associate.

Jody moved to the Florida Keys in 2001 and began a career as a commercial real estate appraiser. With over 7 years of experience in this field Jody has a unique aptitude for assessing properties and gauging their worth and income potential. Before moving to the Florida Keys Jody grew up in rolling hills of north Mississippi. After attending college at Ole Miss, Jody managed and offset printing company and did custom stone mosaic work. Jody is currently a resident of Duck Key and greatly enjoys the company of his friends, neighbors, and co-workers.

Kate has an extensive background in High-end retail including renowned wineries in Maratha’s Vineyard. Paul joined the team at American Caribbean Real Estate-Middle Keys in December of 2011. Paul brings an extensive background of destination and resort sales experience. He always had an interest in living in the Caribbean and when presented with a career opportunity in 1999 to move to the Keys, he felt it was the perfect bridge between the Caribbean and the mainland. His occupation as Director of Sales for destination resorts brought him to Duck Key which began his love for the Florida Keys.

After graduating from the University of Tennessee with a BS in Hospitality Management, Paul embarked on a successful career that led him to some of the most desirable destinations in Florida like: Amelia Island, Marco Island, the islands of Captiva and Sanibel. Christine Jung joined the team at American Caribbean Real Estate – Middle Keys just before New Year’s 2012. Christine is originally from Deagu, South Korea, but now calls the Florida Keys her home. While she was majoring in English and Business Administration she decided to come to United States to improve her English and have experience in overseas travel and customs. Christine immediately fell in love with the Keys and decided to work as an intern at Hawk’s Cay Resort on Duck Key. After a year of interning, she knew she had found a home and started pursuing a long term residence in our island paradise.

Before getting her Real Estate license, Christine worked in a Food and Beverage service where she learned the value of Customer Service. Stacie Kidwell moved to Marathon from North East, MD in 1999 after years of vacationing in the Keys. Making the transition from boating on the Chesapeake Bay to the turquoise blue waters of the Keys has been fantastic, and she’s never looked back.
